HONOURS / AWARDS Print

Every year Billinge Juniors hold a presentation day at the end of the season. This started small in its origination but in recent years has grown and grown and grown. Due to the numbers of children and therefore teams Billinge Juniors can quite rightly boast about. Which provides the children the opportunity for them to enjoy not only the footballing experience from an early age but the social side and interaction with others to.

In the past couple of years the ceremony has been held at both St Marys Social Club (Avon Road Billinge) and at the Indoor Sports Centre (Carr Mill Road Billinge).

This presentation day is held not only to award ALL children for their perseverance in both training through out the year and for their endeavors on match days. But it is also held for the parents, guardians and well wishers to show their appreciation of the enjoyment they have been given in watching them through the year as well.

Evey child receives a token as a keep sake of the past year. But also every team will award its player of the year, together with the players picking who they think is the best player of their respective team, and probably the most important award per team. The player who is not necessarily the most skill full from the team but the player who has improved the most throughout the year.
